Proofreader + Copyeditor
What you’ll do
Work closely with project managers, writers, and designers to ensure that our materials meet our clients’ high expectations.
Proofread or copyedit deliverables including white papers, marketing collateral, presentations, web copy, and more.
Find and fix typos, spelling and grammatical errors, inconsistencies and redundancies, poor word choices, awkward or ambiguous language, formatting problems, and deviations from brand style.
Work exclusively in the digital environment, inserting edits, queries, and suggestions into files at various stages of layout.
Ensure that copy and formatting adhere to brand style guidelines.
Ask clarifying questions as needed, and be prepared to explain or defend your edits.
What we’re looking for
3+ years of relevant experience
Well versed in the distinction between proofreading and copyediting and able to apply either approach, depending on client needs
Highly deadline- and detail-oriented
Committed to clear, effective communications with clients and colleagues alike
Responsive and available when colleagues reach out
Adept and nimble with a variety of digital tools, including Google, Microsoft Office, and Adobe products
